There is a big difference between playing in Arcade, Simulation or Historical games. Arcade is the easiest and normally recommended to get some practice;while historical and simulation are a more skill- demanding and have more pressure. So, start up with Arcade to play almost freely without restrictions.Learn the map of the ground you are playing in since there may be different routes you can take to stay safe. Also, the enemy will usually change its tactics in different maps because they're all different and offered new hiding spots, objectives that might be easy to acquire or eve new routes that might allow you to perform a better attack or defense. Along with this, keep in mind that knowing how your tank's ability to complement map knowledge.
For instance, if you and your crew are in the jungle, a light tank can present some difficulties crossing a river. Take also into account the kind of field your tank is on. It will be a very helpful information to know how fast is moves, how it turns or its speed; that way you will know what to expect and what play will work best.
